Dr. Lawrence Anderson is the president and CEO of Transcend Digital Systems that provides next-generation solutions for shifting organizations forward in terms of digital transformation, cultural evolution, and leadership development. He has over 25 years of technical and leadership experience with over 15 years in the information technology sector.
Dr. Anderson has worked as the Chief Technology and Operations Officer for the National Student Clearinghouse, Chief Information Officer-Officer of the Secretary, for the U.S. Department of Commerce, Associate Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Chief Technology Officer for the Community Oriented Policing Services, and Director for Information Technology Services, NASA.
Throughout his career, Dr. Anderson has focused on strategic and transformational issues ranging from shared services, IT modernization, digital transformation, robotic process automation, and most recently, mergers and acquisitions. As an experienced executive, Dr. Anderson devotes much of his spare time to coaching and mentoring emerging leaders which leads to positive changes for individuals and their organizations.
Dr. Anderson is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Karate and specializes in teaching self-defense techniques for women and children. He is also an accomplished musician (electric bass) and musical director for his church and a few local bands playing music of genres.
Dr. Anderson earned Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from the Catholic University of America, a Master of Science in Management Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland Graduate School of Management and Technology, Doctor of Management from the University of Phoenix School of Advanced Studies, and a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute.
