Ann has been affiliated with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) since 2009 when she began as a member of the Conference at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Houston. In April, 2010 she was appointed Executive Director overseeing the operation of the 1,800 volunteer, $16M nonprofit agency that serves the 10 county area that comprises the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. A graduate of University of California, Los Angeles with a BA in Economics and a MBA from the University of Chicago, passion has been a key motivator in her life’s journey. For the first 15 years of her career, she worked for the telephone company, working in areas of new business development and corporate strategy. For the next 16 years, Ann worked for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in six locations around the world and moved from a role in the kitchen to Hotel Manager. Ann loved what she did and realized that it was a passion for service that was her personal motivator, both for the staff and the guests. After years of struggling with how to balance her personal desire to live her Catholic faith in action and the intensity and requirements of her profession, in 2010 she left the hospitality industry, bringing her passion and management skills to SVdP. In addition to her work in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, Ann served for 3 years on the National SVdP Board of Directors and has participated in numerous national level committees.
